We collect what an order needs and nothing else.

The short version
We collect what an order needs and nothing else. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not sell anything about you, and we never see your card.
What we collect
When you buy something, we collect your name, email address, shipping address and what you ordered. We need those to make the thing and get it to you, and to answer you if something goes wrong.
If you email us, we keep that email so we can reply and so we remember the conversation if you write again.
Payment
Checkout is handled by Square, and it happens on Square’s own pages rather than ours. Your card number never reaches this site and we never store it. Square processes your payment and shares with us only what we need to fill the order. Square’s handling of your information is governed by Square’s privacy policy.
Your bag
What you put in your bag is kept in your own browser, on your own device. It is not sent to us and we cannot see it until you check out. Clearing your browser’s site data empties it.
The club list
The club is our email list. You can join it from the form at the bottom of any page, and ordering from us puts you on it too. We are telling you that here, at the checkout button, and beside the signup form, because you should not find out by receiving an email you did not expect.
Every email we send identifies us and carries an unsubscribe link that works. Leaving takes one click and we do not ask why. If you have not ordered or opened anything in two years, we clear your address without being asked. That is what Canadian anti-spam law requires of a list built on a purchase, and it is also just good manners.
The list lives in our Square customer directory, alongside our order records. It is not shared, rented or sold, and we do not upload it to advertising platforms.
What we do not do
At the time of writing this site runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking cookies. There are no accounts to create. If any of that changes, this page changes first.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as Canadian tax and business records rules require, and so that we can stand behind what we sold you. Club addresses are kept until you unsubscribe, or for two years from your last order, whichever comes first. Email correspondence is kept while it is still useful and deleted when it is not.
Your rights
Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to info@wasagabeachlife.ca and we will answer.
